WHY HYBRID CERAMIC BEARINGS?

Hybrid ceramic bearings are the same as your regular steel bearing, except with ceramic balls in place of the steel balls that would regularly come with it.

Ceramic balls (Si3N4) are far lighter, and far stronger than your standard steel ball in a bearing. Not only are the balls we use stronger than steel, they will bore holes in steel before crushing. As compared to the cheap white ceramics you'd find on eBay, that would crush if you stepped on them right.

This extreme durability, fantastic heat dissipation and durability, weight reduction, and precision down to 1/10,000 of an inch creates a bearing with 40-60% less friction than the steel bearing you started with. Making for less rolling drag, leading to a couple extra HP, top speed MPH, and improved fuel mileage.
